The MCC Libraries are looking for a new bookmark. These bookmarks are made available in each campus library and have not been updated since 2015. Currently enrolled MCC students are encouraged to submit their original art and/or vote for their favorite design. See full contest rules and details below.

Details

  • Students must submit designs through https://mohave.wufoo.com/forms/mcc-libraries-2020-bookmark-contest-submissions
  • Library staff will select the top three designs for voting based on the following criteria:
    • quality.
    • uniqueness.
    • incorporation of MCC name, mascot and other college related elements. 
    • incorporation of the theme words.
  • Voting will take place from March 30-April 10, 2020 through https://mohave.wufoo.com/forms/mcc-libraries-2020-bookmark-contest-voting
  • Students and staff may only vote one time.
  • There will be first and second place winners.
    • The winning design will be printed on the library bookmarks. The winner will also receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
    • The second place winner will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.
  • Students who submit bookmarks are responsible for submitting original work. Artwork from licensed or copyrighted works other than MCC related material is prohibited and will be disqualified, including fan art. Neither Mohave Community College nor MCC Libraries are liable for copyright violations committed intentionally or unintentionally by students.

Submission Rules

  • The contest is open to students currently enrolled at Mohave Community College. Classified employees who are also students are not eligible to participate. 
  • Artwork cannot have been published or entered in any other promotion or contest.
  • Artwork must be appropriate for all ages and represent the college in a professional manner. Staff reserves the right to determine what is and is not appropriate.
  • Students may only submit one design.
  • Artwork must be created by the student.
  • Artwork must conform to the bookmark dimensions, which are 7 ¾’’ x 2 ¾’’.
  • Submissions must include first name, last name and the last four digits of the MCC student ID number.
  • Submissions must be in (.jpg) or (.png) format.
  • Paper submissions will not be accepted.
  • Students are encouraged to use the ideas associated with the words LEARNING, SUCCESS, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY, LITERACY, and STUDYING to help guide their artwork.
  • Artwork from licensed or copyrighted works other than MCC related material is prohibited and will be disqualified, including fan art.
